You would thing the Valentine's Day Masacre happened today with how we were crazy busy. There were only five cases today but oh my god were they the weirdest cases. The manner (natural, accidental, homicide, suicide, undecided) could not be determined for anyone today. Every case today was one of those that given all the circumstances and the true stories no one could figure out what happened without the help of toxicology reports. They were all stumpers. I was able to help the sole investigator very much today and she said I was extremely helpful. The chaos today was enjoyable and made the day go by faster.
All and all we managed a big case load without falling apart. Valentine's could have been much worse and bloodier. I did not receive flowers, candies, or cards today, but what should I expect? I work in a morgue. We only get bodies there.
